Desiro that necessary arrangemonts to accomplish surrendor of Japanese forces in Hong Kong to Rear Admiral Harcourt be made directly botwoon Admiral Harcourt, General Wedemeyer and the Chinese Board of Military Operations, The surrender dato can be fixed for any day following that on which the instrument of surrender is accomplished, now scheduled for 31st August,

Further roquest that this Office be kept informed and advised of date and hour of acceptance of surrender.
